Social Media Posts

When it comes to social media, each platform has its own unique culture, pace, and expectations, and users actively seek different experiences depending on their location. Because of this, the same message cannot be delivered in the same way across the board. It needs to be reshaped so that it feels natural in the space it inhabits. For this assignment, I adapted the original Hogwarts Legacy video I had produced for multiple platforms, with a specific focus on TikTok and YouTube.

Below are the YouTube video and TikTok links for the Hogwarts Legacy campaign.

YouTube, with its long-form structure and storytelling-driven audience, didn’t require significant changes to the video itself. YouTube users are willing to invest more time, especially when there is a straightforward narrative or comedic setup, so the full version worked well. What YouTube needed was attention to captions, keywords, and community engagement metrics to help the algorithm push it outward.

TikTok required reworking because its audience expects fast, punchy content that hooks them in the first second. I redesigned the video in a portrait format, refined the edit, and highlighted only the most engaging, humorous, and action-packed moments. TikTok users scroll quickly and reward immediacy, so stripping the video down to its strongest beats made it better suited for that audience. Across all platforms, the core message stayed the same—but tailoring the delivery ensured it resonated with the unique audiences who consume content differently on each social media site.
